Navigating the Middle of Thirty: My Journey of Self-Discovery and Creativity
They say you won’t truly know who you are until you hit 30—and even then, the discoveries keep coming. I used to think I had it all figured out. I was ready to take on the world, armed with optimism and a can-do attitude. But boy, was I in for a reality check! Adulting is tough, isn’t it? 😂
If you’re like me, you might find that life can feel overwhelming at times. The quest for that elusive work-life balance often leaves our own well-being on the back burner. I know it sounds strange, but that’s been my reality. Amid the chaos, I made a promise to myself: to keep pushing through, no matter the hurdles. After all, I’m too grown to cry and whine about it… or at least, I try to be!
To help manage the ups and downs, I recently started therapy. It’s been a game-changer for me—ranting and venting to a professional really helps. But even with that support, I still struggle to find my footing. The only thing that keeps me sane and connected to myself is my creativity. When I’m in that flow, I feel truly alive. But the moment I step away from it, I feel lost.
It’s this very struggle that inspired me to screenwrite a 188-page series, featuring seven episodes that explore the challenges of being in the middle of thirty—what I’ve lovingly dubbed “Middle of Thirty,” or MOT. This project is deeply personal to me, a way to channel my feelings and experiences into a story that I hope resonates with others.
Being in the middle of anything can be a challenge, but I’ve learned to embrace the chaos and let my creativity flow. It’s a way for me to process my thoughts, confront my struggles, and celebrate my journey. I know I can’t be the only one feeling this way, and that’s why I’m sharing my story.
So, to everyone out there navigating this wild ride of adulthood: know that you’re not alone. Embrace the messiness, lean into your creativity, and remember that self-discovery is an ongoing journey. Let’s keep pushing through together!
